Summer Time....

This Summer is very interesting. The sky was clear until 10.00pm. So we took the opportunity to do a training during the evening beginning 7.00pm on weekdays. Usually training finish at 9.30pm. Throughout this summer, we do twice classes a week.

Training run smoothly because we are not bound by time. So there are no problem if the training carried up to 3 hours. Before this, we are bound by time because we must rent the training places and have a limited time. Now we can review a lot of syllabus during the training. It was great.

This summer, most of our members have a job and part-time work. Therefore, we change the time training and hope all members can attend and training together.

This is the new training classes for this summer;

Sunday
6.00pm to 9.00pm
Castletroy Park, Limerick

Tuesday
7.00pm to 9.30pm
University of Limerick @ field near the East Gate or they called Arena Gate

Training at open area...

This time training was conducted in an open area at the park is across the road from Casteltroy College, Limerick. The weather is very good and help our training become smoothly and without any interruption. It is very different feel for practice in an open area compare in the studio. All movements easier and more confident to do.

This time our training is carried out for 3 hours. Because it is not necessary to pay the rent. He he he. So no need to rushing when do the training. A lot of lessons can be reviewed in detail and carefully.

NEWSPAPER AS A WEAPON

Did you think that newspaper can be a very dangerous weapon? For those who have never learn about that, certainly they will not believe it. Same like me. In Knife Seminar at Dublin on 14 March, 2010, Master Black Panther has provided additional lessons which used the newspaper as a weapon. Unbelieveble, there is a really very dangerous weapon.

Newspaper is very easy to bring it. Nobody will not mention it is will be a type of weapon. Magazine is also can use as weapon like a newspaper. It can be applied in making BUAH that we have learned. So there are no problem for anyone to defend themselves by using this techniques. Besides, we can make a people interested in reading among the community.

The proposal paper for registering of Silat Seni Gayong Ireland under MSD has been denied because of two reasons. First, we cannot use the name Pertubuhan Silat Seni Gayong Malaysia in Ireland. Second, we must have our own symbol (loggo) for Silat Seni Gayong Ireland. If this two things can be done, there has no more osbtacles for registration.

Therefore, this new logo was produced to complete of demand from MSD. Those are the logo details...

Represents the strength of the water. Dragon tails almost reached his head and around will be symbolic that Silat is known around the world.

Represents the strength of the land.

Kendi Air (Jug of Water)
Symbolic of philisophy of silat which form unity between all members.

Silat Seni Gayong is based on ADAT.

Seminar will be conducted over two days from 13 March 2010 for all Anak-anak Gayong
to 14 March 2010 for the public.

Closing register date a week before the seminar started.
